How would you feel when your department used to give birthday cakes to its employees when it was their Birthday’s, but when my birthday came I never got one. I was considered an outsider and I didn’t deserve a birthday cake. I am still an outsider, but now I am involved in something else that is fulfilling for me personally. I am truly accepted In that world. Shame on AIG on how they treat certain employees.

I never got cake either. My manager never believed in that. He would rather work your butt off, while he will leave early to coach baseball.
I am not sure if he is still working for the company. I left two years ago and have never looked back.
On my anniversary, instead of asking me what I would like to have and who to invite, my manager called the staff to the conference room and gave me a small plate of cookies. He pocketed the funds.
Why do I keep humming "Cake by the Ocean?

Wow!! I didn’t either when I was there. But I was the Office Space guy with the stapler. My friends even texted me this morning thinking I had written this post. Small world!!

AIG is awful. They have deplorable management - greedy worthless executives and dropping stocks. They do nothing but lose premium and lay-off people. Just awful.
last year for my birthday they laid off my entire department, only 2 were left including me. it s—ed.
This year for my birthday aig laid me off.
