Knowing that Ford plans to harvest and sell data from their vehicles, I will not purchase another Ford vehicle again. I get enough spam from email, I just don't need it from my car. But, then again, Ford doesn't sell any cars anymore, so....

The great thing about working in Mobility / AV is that we have NO DELIVERABLES. Nobody can tell whether we are working or not! And we know that because we need the data, this department is untouchable!!!

AV , & EV’s Will be job k–lers when range and price become practical. It is a slow death for the auto co’s, and a huge drain on profits. Toyota, Honda, & koreans will dominate as their combustible vehicle quality reliability will be remembered. These companies are laser focused and at best the big three have cherry picked their process which is a waste of time. Sorry but true.

I'm working in AV strategy and you're right about the salesmen comments.. but.. I take what they give me.. Haters gonna hate.. but it still pays 6 figures, is cush, and will never go away. Bill and Jim will never get rid of this group.

AFE got it right, if you need a job get out of AV now! Especially if you can move up into Corporate Strategy based on your previous experience at Gap.

So we are letting Google an$ their Sidewalk Infrastructures Partners and Cavnue (brand new company formed this week) take the lead on self driving. Remind me why Ford needs any employees in this area?

@2lcp+16oaWvvs UH NOPE and big line of BS. I was with AV and one of the smart people that left after watching all the flailing stupidity going on. Everyone of merit has bailed, including Bill's daughter. Nothing left but a bunch of used car salesmen types with no useful skills to be used elsewhere in the company. Keep drinking your Kool-aid, cheers!

The best part about working in AV is seeing these nay-saying comments knowing full well where we’re going and how wrong the naysayers will be in the future

It would be interesting to learn what "business" and "management" takes place when there are not autonomous vehicles in production. Why would the technology not be purchased with wrap around services? Keep trying to look busy!

I work in Autonomous Vehicles and yeah, all of the business and management is alive and well. The only thing outsourced is the actual driverless technology. Anyone who says otherwise has no idea what's going on

Only the AV technology itself is outsourced. The routing, planning, and business aspects are still needed..

Why would it go away? We’ve outsourced the work, so we don't need those people.
But we will keep them all on the payroll anyway!
One reason we sell fewer vehicles than GM, but have far more employees.
