Recently One of the best most Knowledgeable managers I ever had in all my years in Telecom Retired and I am sure he was forced out by your out of date " Iron fist " micromanagement, metric style. Yet you keep those directors and managers with Explosive personality disorder that have no qualms about enforcing seemingly arbitrary , opposing and Contradictory polices . YOU Know me I am the seasoned never overpaid and flexible technician that you also want to get rid of because I make slightly over the " prevailing wage " , well good luck with your continued destruction of this corporation. How do you sleep at night ?

Take a look at the Centurylink CEO salary last year. All upper management is in it for one thing. Themselves. No one person is worth that amount of money to a company. Metrics is the death of companies these day. Get rid of metrics, gps, and bonuses and you would have a much more old school company. Take care of customers, employees and the shareholder will follow.

I love how management says pay for performance!? Um, you pay someone who works for you and gives their life to you. If paying for performance was the objective then all of the leadership team and CEO should be fired!! Of course they lay off the bottom workers first and collect large bonuses every year! Upper management and the leadership teams are rewarded for their failures and their inability to produce revenue! Completely backwards! Dysfunctional company to say the least!

Just a note to future employees of this company. You have a better chance of winning the Lottery than you do of making this place a career. No loyalty and no leadership what so ever! Stay away from this place at all costs! They don’t care about dedication, Loyalty or good work ethic. You my friend are only a number that is replaceable at any time! Makes me literally sick to my stomach! Horrible company lead by elitists that don’t produce value for you or anyone but themselves!

I am so sick and tired of managers who know nothing of what their techs do. Can’t login to any program or run any type of test equipment but they sure know how to track you on the GPS!
Overpaid hand me downs who need to go. Each one should be at the same knowledge point as their guys and girls busting their humps daily just to be scrutinized for idling in the blazing sun for 10 minutes trying to catch a quick rest before the next so called fire drill. I see one daily with nothing on his desk but a cell phone and pc. While mine is piled high with his work.
