XOM is such a failing giant that it needs to split up, like what happened to COP and P66. Upstream is dragging down Downstream and Chem.

@2vur it’s very clear to me Woods will likely step down before 2025. The next CEO can put the blame on him, so double the earnings statement in 2025 will not be valid.. Clear as day!
Mega-ventures - what a great idea! Save the company from the fossil fuel demand decline due to climate change by doubling down on ... plastic bags, just as they are being prohibited all over the world. As if no one else in the developing world was building plants and buying ethylene in the open market . Is that how we'll double earnings Darrin? G_d help us.
That’s a great rumor. Why bother with mega projects just stick with the Permian, Guyana and Brazil. Hasn’t most of the projects been placed on hold. Cut the fat get rid of GP and let the 3 companies handle there own projects.

In tough times those little b–chess downstream and chemical whose hungry mouth were fed by upstream for decades are barking back and trying to bite the big brother Upstream :).
