Thread regarding Nokia Corp. layoffs

Verizon Headquarters in NYC, corporate functions in New Jersey USA

Verizon Headquarters Our official headquarters and Board of Directors are located in New York City. However, our executive leadership and corporate functions are located in Basking Ridge, New Jersey. (USA)

Does anyone know if Nokia has a customer support team in New Jersey? If so, how many employees are there for customer support in NJ? Would you say, perhaps 10 to 20 or maybe even 30? How much revenue does Nokia make from Verizon on 5G and 4G products every year? How many Verizon customer issues are there on ALL Nokia products sold to Verizon per year? Where is Verizon corporate functions located? Oh yah, Basking Ridge, NEW JERSEY USA.

Actually I learned the swap out is going on a lot faster. Whole northeast, west. Samsung is cleaning up. Those NOK executives sure ruined things pretty quickly. Does anyone want any used Telcom equipment?

If Verizon switches over to Ericsson and Samsung slowly, AT&T will soon follow.

Remember, a lot of the folks in Verizon/AT&T come from Nokia/Alcatel-Lucent/Lucent.

Under Lucent and then Alcatel-Lucent there was support in New Providence (Murray Hill). This in the old Bell Labs facility where the transistor, communication theory, the C language, and Unix were developed. This was decimated over the years especially after Nokia bought ALU. After NOK swapped out the ALU equipment and replaced it with their "Airscale" system they did some triage operations in NJ, mostly for PR but eventually folded it all up. They put mobility in NJ out of their misery just a few weeks ago. VZW is not very happy and have started to look to alternate vendors like Samsung. Glad I never stayed around for the gory end.

Majority of customer support is located outside of USA.

Hell, I commute from Philly to NYC every day. NJ to NYC is a brisk walk.

Looks like customer support is no where near where customers are located. If customers don't get support locally and during the same time-zone to solve issues quickly, customers will start looking elsewhere. And that's exactly what's happening in the case of Nokia and Verizon. Look at Nokia wireless revenues over the years.

Sounds bitter over Nokia failing. Time to move on to a better job friend.

Do you stress over the fact that the Jets and Giants play in Jersey too? What is this post even about?
