Thank you for laying me off. I feel more than happy to go after over a decade, gave best performance, received multiple awards, consistently rated top. I feel like my freedom is back and can do much more better things in life than working with incompetent staff (specially L4) whom i reported.
I don't have any regrets about laid off, because of below:
- My manager is/was joke, he is L5. He can't speak, doesn't have any strategy, does round table in conference call with 25-30 leaders which takes 15-20 min in 30-45 min call, complete waste of time, no valuable or challenging assignment in whole AMS vertical.
- Started feeling of getting rotten with in company, because everyone has developed skill of hiding there faces and saving their butts
- HR is useless. The only time i see them when they want survey inputs. No connection what so ever with employees
- No motivation among peers, no matter what level you are in
- Culture and value vanished in recent years
- Perfomance evaluation process is pathetic and ratings are Joke. Forgot meaning of hike (spent more than decade)
- Bossy environment, no open communication
- Open requisition are joke, most of the position open are not even active. I intentionally wanted to experience how company is and got the answer
- Management is on a race to improve but only cost cutting. God know how long they will be their
- Employee morale is all time low, everyone is staying in company either they don't have confidence in themselves or due to visa restrictions
- Management strategy is client strategy, if client keeps you DXC keeps you, if not, you are done and useless. Pure consulting firm (where ever i worked)
- There were some great leaders in past, but unfortunately all left. Didn't find single employee at any level as role model material
- WFR process - This is the best thing happened in DXC, everyone beyond L6 or L5, majority of their productive time goes in this, by attending call, emails, justifying, reports etc. God bless all !
- Visa and GC process is like black box, one hand they WFR employees, other hand they process GC's. I don't have any objection on this, this is just one scenario which shows management strategy and how they lack in foreseeing future.
At last, thank you DXC for giving back my freedom and smile and more importantly atleast now I can find some reason and bring back motivation in life and find good motivated people look up to. I had some great experiences and very bad experiences, received complete package. Experiencing both side of coin, and i feel this is important in life as it gives different perspective of life.
