Thread regarding DXC Technology layoffs

Thank you DXC - My honor and privilege I worked and associated with you for over decade

Thank you for laying me off. I feel more than happy to go after over a decade, gave best performance, received multiple awards, consistently rated top. I feel like my freedom is back and can do much more better things in life than working with incompetent staff (specially L4) whom i reported.

I don't have any regrets about laid off, because of below:

  1. My manager is/was joke, he is L5. He can't speak, doesn't have any strategy, does round table in conference call with 25-30 leaders which takes 15-20 min in 30-45 min call, complete waste of time, no valuable or challenging assignment in whole AMS vertical.
  2. Started feeling of getting rotten with in company, because everyone has developed skill of hiding there faces and saving their butts
  3. HR is useless. The only time i see them when they want survey inputs. No connection what so ever with employees
  4. No motivation among peers, no matter what level you are in
  5. Culture and value vanished in recent years
  6. Perfomance evaluation process is pathetic and ratings are Joke. Forgot meaning of hike (spent more than decade)
  7. Bossy environment, no open communication
  8. Open requisition are joke, most of the position open are not even active. I intentionally wanted to experience how company is and got the answer
  9. Management is on a race to improve but only cost cutting. God know how long they will be their
  10. Employee morale is all time low, everyone is staying in company either they don't have confidence in themselves or due to visa restrictions
  11. Management strategy is client strategy, if client keeps you DXC keeps you, if not, you are done and useless. Pure consulting firm (where ever i worked)
  12. There were some great leaders in past, but unfortunately all left. Didn't find single employee at any level as role model material
  13. WFR process - This is the best thing happened in DXC, everyone beyond L6 or L5, majority of their productive time goes in this, by attending call, emails, justifying, reports etc. God bless all !
  14. Visa and GC process is like black box, one hand they WFR employees, other hand they process GC's. I don't have any objection on this, this is just one scenario which shows management strategy and how they lack in foreseeing future.

At last, thank you DXC for giving back my freedom and smile and more importantly atleast now I can find some reason and bring back motivation in life and find good motivated people look up to. I had some great experiences and very bad experiences, received complete package. Experiencing both side of coin, and i feel this is important in life as it gives different perspective of life.

DXC is not a company it is full of jokers who runs the business. There are 6 levels of unseen barrers formed by groups of old timers and they recruit for strengthen their groups which is unseen by country head & CEO . Did DXC won a sizeable deals since last 24 months 🤣🤣. Very unsecured for people who love to work independent of such groups. So stay away of DXC. The customers are not trusting DXC then why you. Just wait for 3 years you will see the name DXC anywhere . It may be be sold or a part of another company. My very personal prediction 👍

Yep, let go at the end of csc. I read from time to time, and I see that the same sh–e is happening the exact same as when I was there. Management still haven't got a clue, and never will. I pity the poor buggers still there. So glad my time is over, and I can count using one hand the people who are still there that I knew when I left. I shake me head!

2 years ago the WFR came for me. Scary at first but best outcome yet. Now on contract earning double the money and proper market rates. I now work on the other side of the fence with DXC as one of my suppliers and they hate me even more, especially how I know they think, act and work. DXC are an abysmal failure and everything they manage goes to sh!t.

Note to Salvino: if you paid your employees better, didn't take advantage of their skills and time, and cut your pay by 200% then perhaps DXC employees would give a sh!t. Their attitude stinks quite frankly.
