Thread regarding Hertz layoffs

Buisness as usual for senior management

So it looks like senior management is back tobusiness as usual. No transparent communication, do as I say not as I do and treat employees like trash. (Except when they visit then they bring out all the ballons) No staff, pressure to get your numbers has never been hight. Cut cut cut costs eveb more. Useless town hall meetings.

With commission cut down to 4% I am losing approximately $800 in income. That's not sustainable.

Been a manager with this company for a relatively short time. It's taken a while for me to see the company's true colors. I've never worked in such a bipolar work culture that messes with the psyche. One minute it's "great job!" and in almost the same breath "you need to do better". I'm all for constructive criticism, key word being constructive. Also noticed way too many "yes" managers as this is what gets you recognized and senior management loves that sh–. Too many are insecure to stand up or say what is right for fear of retaliation. Hertz has hard core fundamental problems way beyond the bankruptcy. With a second interview scheduled next week, hopefully my exit is on the horizon!

Nothing to expect.
Just cash the salary while it lasts.
Don't bother going the extra mile. Not worth the effort.
Setup on minimum work process. Do your hours and not a single additional effort.
Look elsewhere.
Let those super heroes who shared the 16 million dollars do some work now. That was the purpose of this check, get them to finally work.
So let them show us what they are capable of.
In the meantime I'll look and won't move an inch of energy for these crooks.
I've already done my part if the job all these years...and never received Nearly as near as they did.
Guilt is a foreign language at this stage. I no longer give a f—.

These are the same people as well as former senior management that got us in this mess in the first place. Sure COVID just helped speed up the decline. Now they all get retention bonuses to sit on theIt butts and bark orders to the field employees to get us out of this mess. While at the same time driving away what talent was left in the field. Meanwhile, whose going to replace these people that are leaving?
Good is not good enough at Hertz and people aren’t machines. What little humanity is shown is all fake In order to give the illusion they give a damn. At the end of the day, they don’t and everyone knows/feels it.

Pressuring the front line folks for higher SRPD is like getting blood out of a stone. CSRs know their jobs and are doing their best, but the revenue just isn't there (and won't be for quite awhile). Former coworkers have told me they are constantly pushed by management to get the big bucks, but the bosses often back down and settle for less when the reality of the "new normal" sinks in. Cutting costs at location level is nickel and dime stuff when compared to the company's humongous debt burden. Why bother? The company has already been cut to the bone anyway. Management needs to stop the dog and pony show and lay off the front line employees regarding revenue and cost-cutting. CSRs are way smarter than they give them credit for. Let them do their jobs while they still have them.

Was going to post something similar. Couldn’t agree more! It’s obvious most everyone is miserable and managers are bailing at an alarming rate.
