The person who said they feel it’s just a “few” employees who write negatively on this page should just go on the Facebook page and read all the negative comments from customers, that’s a REAL eye opener!!!! And these are just customers who order a shirt, shoes, or handbag or come into the store for a short period, not an employee who has to work at belk full or part time... #TRUTH

It bothers them so much because they know the business is sinking and they don’t have a life jacket.
The person replying, spouting that everyone should "just leave", why are you on this board? Why are you bothering to read? It is obviously a site for people to blow off steam about real concerns. Why does that bother you so much?
You get back what you give and Sycamore knows how to dish it out. And you want us to be happy about that? Have some self respect.
"If you truly can't leave. If your bellyaching is more of an attitude and not reflective of real things at work. If you believe in taking satisfaction in doing your job well, can balance that without sacrificing your mental or physical health, try to place things in a more balanced perspective and go to work and make the best of it all. No need to be a hero...just be someone who has a life outside of work and looks at work as a means to an end and not as the end itself.
And if you're one of those "it all s—s" types...go s— on someone else's teats. You're not helping anyone or anything, least of all yourself."
You're using a metaphoric tone, here, suggesting that associates/forum posters are intellectually inferior and reducing them to an infantile level. Great morale booster, there. Good tactic. Problem is, to raise morale it must be present to begin with.
Now, let's use your tactic on.. you!
Why don't you leave? Your job? This board? Now! Why?!
You, clearly and irrationally, do not consider anyone who has a complaint about an obviously toxic work environment (to wit, you are contributing to said toxicity) to be your intellectual equal.
So, I won't accept you as an equal, even on an anonymous complaint forum.
Nobody cares about your in-your-face shock value nonsense. You're not helping. You're fanning the flames and showing your ignorance by pretending that nothing is wrong at an intrinsic level.
So, again..
Why don't you leave? Now! Why?!
Beat it, kid!
Scoop up your marbles, get on your busted tricycle, pedal back to your own playpen, kick off the mary-janes and beg your own mommy to pull one her shriveled, baloney-sacks out for a drink.
Lay back, flick on Ellen or Disney, whatever keeps you occupied, but stay out of our playground!
You're not wanted here!
Go on.. GIT!
Keep in mind how poor Belk management has been way prior to the pandemic. Little problems became bigger problems. Associates were marginalized for speaking up. Here we can be heard and we have historical reasons for being angry. Now we have more reasons. Don't such a Lisa, Lisa.
So if you all are so unhappy at belk, why stay? Why?
Customer complaints on FB do not equate to an annon comment site where it's obvious only a few are populating the comments.
I get all the pain and hurt. Truly I do. But regardless of the "there's no jobs" narrarative...there are jobs to be had with literally any one paying better than belk with real benefits too. Fact!

I know several that use this website.
Thousands of negative customer comments on Belk’s Facebook page over the past year, enough said.
