Thread regarding Union Pacific Corp. layoffs

Union pacific Railroad integrity

Do they honor employees, do they value employees, do they honor a contract, do they put safety above production. Is profiting out waying safety, as Essential workers are you honored, protected and thanked by the leadership. does the company value you as an individual working in a time of a pandemic.

We, as workers are expendable assets plain and simple. We are/ were paid well because we were away from our families for extended periods of time, especially the transportation employees. I don’t owe the company anything, especially loyalty, and they don’t owe me anything except my paycheck. The days of companies being loyal to employees and vice versa are long gone. Everything now is about profits and stock prices, this goes for all large corporations. I try not to think too much about the past ( I have 30 years seniority), but I do miss how things used to be.

They finally stopped the courage to care nonsense because although it was always unbelievable, when lance and vena started double teaming the company into the ground there was no use even pretending anyone cared about the employees or anything except short term profits and raising stock price. This is a company built on slave labor and their ethics haven’t improved in 150 years.
