Technologist in Intel?

Anyone knows this position in Intel? And which pay grade it belongs to? The technical ladder in Intel starts from senior as fresh PhD, staff, senior staff, principal and higher. Not sure which level is this “technologist”? It requires PhD+15 YOE. Thank you.

Technologies is an acting title, not a formal job title for engineer. If you wanna use, you can use in any job grade. The formal job title is Engineer / Senior Eng / Staff Eng / (some may use Sr Staff Eng for JG9) / PE / Sr PE / Fellow / Sr Fellow

a technologist is typically a grade 8. It is a mile marker on the path to PE.

A very general term at Intel, Starts at grade 7 for PhD. If it is asking for 15 years of experience I would expect this to be much higher, but it's Intel so who knows.Geographical location will dictate salary to an extent. Technologist can also refer to the fellow level which is akin to VP but on the IC side. Very few admitted in that area.
