Thread regarding ExxonMobil Corp. layoffs

Get rid of the management!

The only way to get Exxon back on the right path is to get rid of everybody in the upper managements and all the executives and put smart and competent people in their place. What we have right now is ruining the company! And somehow, it's us who get laid off, us who get their benefits cut, and they just continue on as per usual...

That's exactly how things were planned, and exactly the way they will go. Management and shareholders first. Its the Merukan way! Bye-bye!

At this point, I honestly believe we should have our entire hiring system get replaced by software. We wouldn't have hired so many incompetent, k* a people in the first place that then come to complain about layoffs. In the long run, at least we'd have people that are going to grow into the best management that can be regardless of race, gender, etc. Don't just downvote, let's talk about it like professionals that deserve to work here

ExxonMobil has so many Divisions with so many managers: UOG, UIS, and hundreds more. All the managers do is meet with other divisions and chit chat all day long. These divisions should be merged altogether and flatten the org. Only the doers of real jobs should stay.

I agree but many low level employees are as bad. Those who haven't made it, many among them are working hard in robot like activities, trying to outsmart others to trample over others to make it to the management level. While focusing on poisonous management products, don't forget the source where it all starts.

If political correct was their first priority, what they care are their own interest, not the employee’s interest, and not the company’s interest. Shame on these bad guys!

There is some truth to this. We should be pulling in publicly recognized leaders at this time to get us out of this hole. I mean leaders in the profession and not within our own company.
