Facts are he (J.Legg) SAID THERE WILL BE NO MORE PLANNED LAYOFFS THIS YEAR in his org after the 25-50 managers in August. Stop with the drama.

Legg only has about 5k employees under him, even if he has to cut deep, it is still a drop in the bucket compared to big orgs like Chow and Mair.

  1. Legg was brought in from WM to make the hard decisions that previous leadership couldn't make. Legg doesn't stick around in any position for more than 24 months (check his profile in Linkedin) so he is here to shake things up and get promoted. He won't want to hear that changes will take 2-3 years to complete. Will retire systems, outsource aggressively and migrate the financial systems to WM and surplus anyone left.

For Legg, I heard after his September meeting with the board. When he finds out they don’t give him what he wants, he will have no choice. I feel bad for him. He has growth and long term savings ideas but will be told NPV 2 months or else don’t do it.

Under J.Legg, should be in the next week or two. My guess is on a Friday, but who knows. He said 25-50 total, managers who had already been targeted for surplus but delayed due to the org change.

I’m ready to go...a MVO would be nice. I’ll take the 6mos and a kick out the door.

Not a peep. I’ve heard some non management surplus will be announced on 9/15 in the COs and in some of the network centers but nothing about management, but I’m sure it’s coming.
