Communication was sent out this morning around 401k. Pretty sure that's being transparent.
Talks and discussions are leaked out all the time prior to major decisions. Only saw 401k cuts yesterday on this site before company communication this morning.
Still pretty peved over their arrogant "we still remain competitive" comment blasted to the company. Yeah, sure you are.
It is really sad to see where the company is these days. It’s even sadder that we have to use an external forum to have these posts to know what is going on within our own company. Unfortunately I don’t think XOM will ever be transparent with their employees. They do value their managers and there are a lot of them. I would be ok with this if they were held accountable for the successes and failures within their organizations. They are not. They are all top performers regardless of how bad they are. This starts at the top. This is the reason XOM is in a downfall. There is terrible leadership.
My advice for those of you who are still employed is to freshen up your skills and start saving money if you aren’t already. XOM is not the greatest at using the latest technology so our skills may be outdated. I blame our outdated technology on management as well.
Can we openly talk about ranking, management pay, compensation, and structure? It seems to me that we have way too much management. It seems like the managers (supervisors and up) rank themselves really well. Sometimes I feel 1/2 the company is management....
Soon my dog will be eating better food than me.
