Anyone hit this week with a mystery calendar invite yet? Rumor said this would happen all month if it truly is a 6% reduction. Just curious if there is any early week activity to report.

nothing in ISG yet
Nothing here yet, I am in the GCCS segment as an AE. Handled the relationship for the entire account. I have since been moved to a Client Focused Role. I am excited for the future.
In the Enterprise division I work in we have the core team, and the GCCS team. If you take figures the core team have generated "A" for the last 5 years, no growth despite getting VxRail labeled as storage (It's a server). Now take GCCS over the same period, its doubled turnover to 3-4 x "A". There are also considerably more people employed in core. Now guess which department the EMC management have decimated.
Scannel knows what he’s doing.
If you sell laptops on price - bye bye 👋
How about DES (Endpoint Security) will they finally k–l that? After so many product changes and the VM spinn off this would make sense.
„We make more revenue by selling notebook bags!“
Dell EMC sales (GCCS) has decided to cut up to half of all Sysytems Consultants aka System Engineers and/or Sales Account Executives over the next 6-12 months depending on COVID impact to sales. This week it layed off quite a few and merged the 2 roles this under a new GCCS sales organization. All GAM roles have been removed and Acct Execs told to expect to handle more technical SE tasks, and the same for SC/SE roles, told to be ready to act as Acct Sales Execs or "reps". Many inside sales will also uplevel to assume larger roles as others are cut. The true irony is that the dead wood Storage organization and Modern Data Center teams appear less impacted, TBD since BSc from EMC is running the show.
Inside word is that most left are looking outside the company to leave as soon as they can, as it keeps cutting benefits, no 401K match, and greater workloads. The addition of spinning off VMware will leave Dell Tech just Dell EMC, and VMware will have nothing stopping them from competing on other HW platforms. So sad, they were on a great trajectory prior.
