Thread regarding National Oilwell Varco Inc. layoffs

It's not that complicated....They need to go!

At what point does the board or shareholders push for change at the top? After more than 6 and a half years with this worthless CEO and his so called leadership team... the company keeps getting worse and worse. Yes we get it, there are a lot of factors behind this horrible ordeal but get real folks, it starts at the top and this CEO along with his cronies has miserably failed at his job.. We would not last more than a year if we continuously $ucked at our jobs. All the fancy business words and excuses they constantly spew in their calls is fooling no one. Yet he remains there getting his fat check while others who desperately need jobs are laid off even after 25-30 yrs of dedicated services. You want to save money....replace these loser executives.

That's like the guy that was promoted to President of his division probably cuz Clay was a fan of him being on the 2003 collegiate national championship football team yet his leadership still allows development projects to go to completion yet they rarely ever start with a justifiable business case that can make any revenue. Just ask to see a single business case (i.e. they don't exist) and you'll see what we mean.

As true as this may YOU have to realize that people at NOV have been paid handsomely to fail up and down the organization. The C-Suite and board don't have a monopoly on failing and keeping their jobs. That's been going on for 6+ years too. The same people that YOU complain about in leadership were failing 6 years ago too in middle management and made their way up. No company allows more people to fail up than NOV.

Well I hate to give YOU bad news....they are not making money for the company. Matter of fact, the company has not made an annual profit since 2014. Only thing they are in fact doing is getting paid...handsomely. They put non-performers in key roles and its been catching up for years.

Not sure why the first post says this post will be removed. Nothing disrespectful, not naming names....just writing the truth.

I hate to give you the bad news ... their job is not to keep people employed, their job is to make money for the company... and they are paid to do whatever it takes to make money for the company.

Share holders have a voting right. That right includes a vote of the executive board and CEO. For a resolution of “no confidence “ a majority shareholding vote will remove. However this can only take place at annual results and at an AGM. You only need 1 share to cast a vote or carry a motion of no convidance.
