Murthy has PhD from a 3rd tier UK university. Raja has only BS from an Indian college which doesn't seem to be as prestigious as IIT. Of course, we can't tell a person's ability solely by his/her education background, but I think JimK, a Big-Ten engineering graduate, has a more down-to-earth attitude and looks more dependable. In addition to spider charts on fancy slides, anything new does Raja bring to Intel? Murthy screwed up at Qualcomm before joining Intel. Didn't Raja screw up at AMD before joining Intel? What has Raja truly accomplished before and after joining Intel?

Murthy and Raja were both rejects, they were fired/soft fired from their previous employers. Both have bad reputations. Murthy hired raja. Once you hire a bad person, he or she hires even worse person. So Murthy is a d player, raja, Murphy’s hire, an f player, a cheap Marketing person, pure charlatanism. Spider charts...while amd is doing great things we are stuck with this bozo.
Jim is different in terms of His technical skill set. He is good. But he had zero organizational skills. He needed a tech person to supervise and manage him. Of course he didn’t have that at intel. He had to deal with Murthy and Bob. What a combo.

There is a running joke about hiring injuns to the top spots in companies. If you got an injun running the show, you should start selling the company's stock. These guys love to BS and show off. To make matter worse, once you got in an injun chief at the top, he would bring in the whole farking injun village with him! If you wanna destroy a company fast, just hire a bunch of injuns.

Raja is the proto-typical Intel manager... the master of the three bullet item power point presentation.
Murthy hired him to work on discrete graphics, and where is discrete graphic product now. With Murthy is out, it is matter of time he will quit.
Raja and Kalayan Thumaty has accomplished nothing but made intel move to outside tools. The tools which these guys has previously worked on.
I don’t think Raja has a vision. If he had he would have executed it well after coming from AMD. As far as AMD goes , he shld have know well what AMD is doing.
