Thread regarding Allstate Corp. layoffs

Adjusters

We are the backbone of this company, it’s extremely difficult to leave on Friday, get 2-3 claims each day of the weekend and then 5 more on Monday, on top of whatever needs to be addressed from previous claims. I wish they would tell us what is next, I work so damn hard for this company.

Previous Allstate adjuster here, got tired of the b—s—, lies and unmanageable amount of work. I can also see the writing on the wall, everything will be AI and India written sooner than later. Back in the shop side now, much more laid back, my nerves aren’t constantly shot, I make more money and I have job security. Allstate can literally bend over and go f itself. I also do everything I can to steer every single customer that has Allstate away from them come renewal time. It’s actually not hard to persuade them, they usually agree Allstate s—s once they file a claim.

few real jobs, low pay, poor benefits, and increasingly unrealistic workload is way of the future. And about retirement? Hah quit dreaming. ALLSTATE is not alone believe me but at least india will have jobs. The future is brown.

I’ve worked for 3 other insurance companies as a liability adjuster and it’s the same everywhere. You get used to getting a minimum of 10 claims Monday morning and 5-6 each day the rest of the week and then get yelled at for “poor time management and organizational skills.” If I had to do it all over again I’d go into the medical field . Never did the companies I work for have layoffs every 2-3 years though like Allstate. Always trying to reinvent the wheel here . What’s scary is they want to outsource everything to India eventually and keep a skeleton crew here in the US.
