our mco was told that our fate should be known next week

Did anyone in Florida have a meeting about this in Friday?
The problem is employees getting bte But are not good performers. Ie- leadership pets. How is that fair?
Why shouldn't employees that were better than expected for both 2018 and 2019 be kept over those who were just expected for those two years or BTE for just one year? Would seem that the BTE's should be kept over the others. While I was not BTE both years I totally get and understand why they would not have to be assessed. Their performance obviously shows they deserve to be kept. No one is owed a job. Reward those who have performed the best and been rated the best with job security. And don't give me this favortism garbage. A rating is a rating.
The rules get changed. Wasn’t it just two weeks ago, that eb started the percentages would be 35% assessment, 60% reviews ( with 2019 being weighted more than 2018) , tenure 5%. Now we have bte’s getting a free ride to employment. I don’t know what to think.
It appears some employees in mco’s heard this and others did not get this information. Does that surprise anyone. Was anything put in writing today?
Processors work in claims too and still know less than the adjusters about what is coming...
I work in claims and have not been informed about this today. I’m a claims adjuster. I don’t work as a processor/support.
Why does no one know anything about processors and support? All talk has been about adjusters, yes I know the weight their job holds, still would like to know...
Assessments going out to claims by the end of next week. Assessment results by end of August or early September with 60 day notices shortly after that for the targeted end of November for last day. Eliminated positions where no assessment needed should get their 60 day notices within the next 2 weeks. This of course is based on what GS indicated the other day.
If anyone’s bte for two years in a row, it’s clearly the result of favoritism. I should be, by my numbers, but I’m not, because I’m not a brown noser
When will we get the assessment? After taking the assessment , how long before we know our fate?
Considering how high the claim counts are (and that they will only go up now that we have National General) I don't see how many adjusters could be losing their jobs.
Does anyone her exceed expectations for both years?
I guess that falls into their "best of the best" rubbish.
There is nothing fair about this whole thing. Every employee should have to take the assessment and be judged. And the BTE on Pds for any year should not be considered since the ones who get BTE are the a-lickers that are given opportunities because they are in good with the higher ups. It used to be the same way with DPA... back before Allstate took those away from the employees too.
Everyone should have to take the assessment. If your management let employees slide on their reviews, how is that fair?
Ditto. We had a brief meeting with our lead as well at the end of the day. Was told the same thing about all of claims (every claims area) learning what is happening next week and the jobs reducing headcounts keeping BTE for '18 and '19 and they not having to have assessment done.
What about esurance claims?
I hope casualty adjuster are not affected by this.
Any word on the processors?
Poster said 2018 AND 2019 Better Than Expected would be retained. So based on 2018 being expected you would be assessed although your 2019 Better Than Expected should help as long as you don't fall on your face with the assessment.
I am a repped adjuster and for 2019 I was rated better than expected and 2018 expected. Where would I fall?
Then you would not fall into the 2018 and 2019 better than expected group and would be assessed. Makes sense considering they do make tenure part of the actual assessment.
What about those with no 2018 or 2019 performance review?
I'm assuming that the poster meant that if you were rated as exceeds expectations for the last 2 reviews you are guaranteed to not be laid off if your position is not be completely eliminated.
What did you mean by 2018 and 2019 ? Please advise.
Same. All MCO's and claims areas will know where they stand by end of next week. If you do not receive assessment next week in claims then you are either totally safe or your job is gone and you will be communicated your 60 day notice by end of August however you should know already by next week. Also not all employees in one role or area will receive assessments. Better than expected for both 2018 and 2019 in roles that are downsizing will be retained with the remaining spots going through the assessment and review process. This was a change we were told today.
WHICH MCO??
We were told we’d hear today but again not happening. Uhgggg
Same. All claims should know next week.
Which MCO?
