Six of us were let go three months ago. Nobody has seen a dime of unemployment. We all got papers to fill out asking foe our supervisors name and number, how much severance we got and why we thought we deserved unemployment. Not another word. Has anyone drawn unemployment? They claim they won't fight it, but we know how their word is.

I applied 3 weeks ago, still haven't heard anything about the status of my claim. Check daily on the Unemployment website and when I call I get a recording stating that the call volumes are to high and that I need to go to the website to check status. How in the H*** are you supposed to find out when you are going to get some kind of payment????
Don't wait to hear something. Almost all states are buried in claims right now so don't assume they are working it. Call your state unemployment office at least once a week to make sure they have your claim and to see what else they need from you. I know a person in Florida who waited from March to July and never heard anything. He called the unemployment office and they needed one document to go forward and process the claim, but they never made any attempt to let him know or even contact him. He just received his first payment last week but would not have if he didn't call them.
Wondering this as well. If I take it can I get unemployment since I doubt anyone will be hiring for a bit with the Corona. Anyone done it successfully in FL.
Unemployment is a perfect example of how sh–ty government handles a simple function ... the default payment method in my state is a prepaid credit card with huge fees attached (corrupt) ... or an opt in for direct deposit. I filed but don’t have my pin yet. Web page was the worst. What a mess.
Haven’t seen a dime yet
Bad time to be filing, there are people since March with Covid still trying to get it, States are backed up by the 100,000's.
What state?
