Is because this is the FIRST chance to openly speak about the dysfunction employees have and are enduring at Allstate. YOUR Inspire Surveys, that filter right back to your manager, only placed a target on your back if any suggestions were made or included. You didn’t want honest feedback you were just going through the motions. YOU perpetuated bad business decisions as you promoted based on tenure/politics and not merit. This forum is karma, YOU had many chances to “LEAN IN” to your principles but instead you chose profit over people. Have the decency to talk about those AORs that have been told about role elimination, talk about your HR policy updates during this time, talk about assessments given and those areas. Stop wasting our time with non-informative meetings WE are smarter then you give us credit for.

Some of you have had really bad managers and for that I’m sorry. I’ve been fortunate to have good ones who accepted feedback both good and bad and made appropriate changes.
I’ve also been fortunate to have a team that gave me time and feedback to be a better leader. And it wasn’t all pretty and no I didn’t go try to find out who it was. But that’s because I’m only a partial a$$h0le, not a complete a$$h01e.
@1fbt+16cXEWii Respectfully, if it’s not the companies fault then who’s is it? It wasn’t until the last Inspire Survey conducted by an outside group, that was Allstate’s first attempt at objective feedback. BUT as always the caveat was it took 3 or more similar feedback suggestions per group to be “escalated” further said it right there’s thereabouts the survey. Given that my manager is a sociopath their true colors were only seen by a few of us. Well played Allstate, well played.
So true about the inspire surveys. I’ve had managers that would go on manhunts trying to figure out who gave negative comments. This is not the company’s fault but it does demonstrate the culture
Now I know you aren’t telling the truth because the survey isn’t anonymous, that’s in writing ON the survey itself. Nice try to discredit a slime ball tactic that’s been forcing employees silent or retaliated against for years.
I’ve given negative comments and results on inspire for years. Never been brought to a meeting about it or had any repercussions. And that includes scathing comments about leaders and their approaches to everything. Ive also given quite a bit of feedback on this process. I think repercussions for inspire are imagined. Managers don’t actually see who wrote what comments or who gave the scores. They just get an anonymised version for their area.
Have the results come back for the barometer? It was my understanding that the results are supposed to be shared/discussed with your team. I haven’t been here that long but the Inspire was never shared either. I could be wrong - just wondering
The INSPIRE Survey is a total joke and fraud. Negative responses automatically had meetings attached to them. Then you were required to meet until the problem is solved. Often weekly in claims to improve The survey results the next time. But then your manager told you” why didn’t you come to me in person with these issues” then the question was flipped back and made the employees at fault for answering it the way they did. The other response was “well don’t work here then if you answer it that way”. The survey is used as a punishment tool against the employee unless you marked it 100% every time. The employees are not stupid and this is a valid forum to vent fairly. Management of this company needs to Treat others in the same manner they treat each other, with the same courtesy and respect they give other managers but apply it to the Lowly employee. Use the same respectful tone with employees that you give to fellow CSL‘s A change in CSL‘s may be a good thing for this company
Maybe they think our years at Allstate have made us dumb ...maybe they had have I certainly feel naive
100% agree. The behind kissers are the ones you keep and ones who really works and knows their jobs inside out are the ones you will get rid of or already done so and give their jobs to Pune India. I would rather deal with someone I can understand in USA instead of talking to someone in Pune India that I cannot understand. It is not just Allstate doing it but a lot of companies have done so as well. What jobs will be left if they are going to be given to cheap labor. How are we going to provide for ourselves and our families if there are no jobs here. Unemployment numbers will keep going up and up. No not in good hands for sure and it is a joke as far as how transparent you are.
