These guys that defend UP always go out of their way to talk about how much they don’t like UP.

@cty No love for UP here.

What you’re pushing is garbage, and has nothing to do with layoffs. You seem to think that a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) giving guidance to two federal agencies equates to an immigration law that UP is willfully ignoring. There is no law for UP to comply with. There isn’t even clear guidance in the MOU sent out. We get it; you’re insecure, you don’t like immigrants. That’s your problem. UP isn’t ignoring any immigration laws, because there are no laws to ignore.

If you think I’m wrong, get with some of your union bro’s and take UP to court over it. After their legal team is done demolishing you in court, you can come back here and take a long hot bath in your sense of white grievance.

@ult it’s not garbage buddy. It’s an article from a respected new organization, CBS News. The fact that it doesn’t give a good look to UP obviously bothers you, but that’s not our problem. TTFN.

@xom Because the last two just like it were taken down. The name of the site is "thelayoff.com". The post has nothing to do with layoffs and everything to do with white male grievance.

Post information about layoffs or go away. There are entire websites dedicated racial resentment and anti-immigration ideas. Plus you have Facebook. Flog this garbage elsewhere.

Why would this get taken down? It’s just a link to a cbs news article. What a dork.

A thread just like this was taken down a couple of hours ago. I give this one until tomorrow morning (tops).

Since we’re on the subject, UP isn’t obligated to assist federal agencies in enforcing executive action on immigration or anything else. ICE and CBP are operating on MOUs; UP doesn’t even have a law to comply with. An MOU isn’t a law or a regulation.

Sooo they are basically picking and choosing which laws they want to enforce. Sounds familiar, kinda like safety and FRA rules! Then again I’m sure they are spread so thin it wouldn’t matter much anyways

It was probably costing Union Pacific money to follow the law. Taking the easy way out as usual.
