To Post ID: @5zyf+16agrjrQ. I agree with you. This company was spiraling down way before COVID but will be the frosting on the cake. If you get RIF'd in the near future, be happy because things could dramatically change for those who are the last to get RIF'd. If you get RIF'd in the beginning of 2021 I would definitely take a lump sum, but if you get RIF'd this year you may want to see what you would pay in taxes. Hold on to PTO as long as you can because they have to pay you for unused PTO. However remember you can only carry over 10 days unless they make an exception this year.

COVID will take this company down along with several more. BD will cash out since he needs to spend all that money real soon. PZ received the big raise earlier this year and I’m sure the golden parachute is more cash than AIG stock. Once again employees will get screwed. Hence if you get Riffd, take all the money up front. Who knows what will be left.

The government is like the mafia, (insert Joe Pesci voice here) I caughts you's doin someting, we can handle this amongst our self's ...you's pay this nice big fine (end Joe Pesci voice)
The government (mafia) gets its loyalty payment, people see that the bad bad business has been scolded....the circle goes on and very rarely do you see jail time for these folks. It is the overall system.
Not sure it will ever change.....

The VALIC SEC settlements aren't helping

Why do they just get their hands slapped with fine and never looked at as criminal act.

Just like 182.3 billion bailout in December 2012 and they got away with continuing giving out bonuses. It’s assanine!

It’s sad because one time, I was proud working for AIG. It’s a shame corruption is allowed.

Yup the company is going down. Employees getting RIF'd because of the crooks and greed of those in Senior Management and Valic. They should personally be held responsible for this.
