Just curious what (if any) everyone is seeing in the way of severance packages from this latest furlough, I'm asking specifically about in the Americas and if previous years with HP and HPE are being taken into consideration, or if it's only the DXC years?
Unfortunately, I'm getting the vibe that the reason we are seeing an extended furlough vs. an actual WFR right away is we're once again being manipulated into leaving on our own vs. sticking around and trying to survive off of savings/unemployment. Just seems like another cop out to thin the herd and screw good people out of a deserved (and industry standard) severance package.

Is receipt of severance contingent on signing a non-disparagement promise?
If it is, what is the length of the promissory period?
FYI on severance (Americas) for those affected:
Up to 3 years - 2 weeks
3 –> 5 years - 4 weeks
5 –> 9 tears - 5 weeks
9 –> 15 years - 6 weeks
15 years or more - 8 weeks max
I would have expected more, but again - I also would have expected a raise over the span of 5 years.
"How can they not offer anything?!"
In the US, they're not required to offer anything, unless there is a contractual obligation. Unless you're an executive, it's very unlikely you have a contract that truly protects you.
How can they not offer anything?!
There is no severance for furloughed employee's
Seems dxc technology formerly CSE simply had too much overhead in the UK at all these clients
When "thin the herd" happens, people develop "herd immunity" !
DXC will do everything in their power to “encourage” you to leave on your own.
