I hate to say this but you may also want to get some good certifications under your belt, you do realize that most US corps have been offshoring engineering to India for years now, right? Best of luck to you.

You should be fine. The weakness in most engineering companies is they don’t have enough folks that can communicate and manage. Use that to your advantage. Good luck!!

2 yrs technical 2 yrs non technical here? You are golden. The outside world, particularly texas, still respects us, they have a year or so to find out what a fraud we are. Exxonmobil is worth a lot more as your past-a line in your resyme- than your present. You made no mistakes, just explored options. Good luck.

Two yrs engineering experience in ExxonMobil right after graduation? You ain’t learning any much about real engineering stuff. Sorry to tell you that but that s how Xom trains young graduates to keep them out of competitive skills to find other jobs outside

Good luck! Just apply for jobs and focus on what you want to be doing in the future. The soft skills and coordination are always needed also. You got this!! :) if an employer asks just tell them this opportunity was provided to me as a great opportunity for career advancement but I learned that I love engineering and want to focus on that going forward.
