Kudos to EMIT for the spin.

The evolutions I've seen has been the attempt to goto agile, mass exodus of contractors by layoff or following the writing on the wall. Some positions were telegraphed years ahead of time (app/product EoL), but most were just to protect employees first.
I cannot tell you how many times EMIT took over a tool development project from the business, and then delivered something completely useless that no ones used because they thought they knew what we needed better than the business!
wait wait...maybe if they create another "advisor" position EMIT can come thru for XOM
Let’s start with slashing 50% of management that does nothing besides stewardship up to the next level and spins BS to feed to the peons? How about support your IT experts and push back when the business is out in left field? How about getting rid of politics that doesn’t reward output and merit but those who can s— up to the right people? How about training people to think critically instead of blindly following processes?
EMIT has been hit hard with lots of PIPs and forced retirements. I see lots of complaining here, but nothing of any substance as to just what you think EMIT ought to do. In my EMIT career, I have seen no end of garbage that had to cleaned up because the business thought, quite mistakenly, that they knew more about IT than the people who actually know what to do.
Is this the EMIT version of “train your replacement”?
OP: That wording was used in an EMIT AMA presentation to try to excite listeners. Remarkably tone deaf.
EMIT is always spinning something. They are “Spin Doctors“. I can’t wait until it’s their turn to be shown the door. I hope the doors hits them hard!
