Part Time and Furlough

Are there still employees on part time and furlough? Are most of these out of Houston?

I got an email today and I will stay PT until I am told otherwise. So I guess Noble will let Chevron decide.

If Noble had any ethics of integrity they would have brought Furloughed folks back after the Chevron news broke. What a big steaming t–d of a company.

The communication that came out yesterday had no mention of how this impacted furloughed employees (I'm one of them). The only positive is that I am still receiving the communications, just not sure what happens come 10/3, which is a Saturday, and by my calculations, the last day of the 180 days of furlough. When will CVX take ownership?
For those of us still furloughed and were not laid off in July, there must be a reason, if not just for some alternative outcome and/or plan. But my guess is that NBL is focused on the integration into CVX and furloughed employees will be dealt with by CVX HR (reactivate or laid off), and not NBL HR before the shareholder vote on 10/2.

It makes it difficult to know which severance package would be applied (CVX or NBL), or if reactivation. Then you have the comments in the latest communication about "talent profile" CVX will be reviewing for organization selection. If you are furloughed, when will that be communicated and how? I know from conversations I've had with full and part time employees, everything is vague to them as well.

The communication that came out yesterday said it won't be until the end of October before we know anything. Not sure what that really means though- will everyone at Noble hear something? will only those selected hear something leaving the rest to surmise? will those on part time stay that way? I also wonder how Chevron is going to communicate with those on furlough.

For most of us that were put on part-time and furlough, the second 90-day extension is coming up for expiration the beginning of October and yet no word from the useless HR department. I guess as long as they can continue to feed their families the rest of us can be forgotten. Maybe if that group had some decent leadership that was not so self-centered, we might know something by now. My concern is that they are finding a way to further screw us by making themselves look better in the eyes of Chevron for their own potential survival. I can only hope that is one of the first groups kicked to the curb- top to bottom- because Chevron can see just how useless they are. They have been one of the most ineffective departments in Noble for years.

I’m still furloughed and waiting to find out at the end of month what will happen with my status; reactivated, refurloughed or laid off.

The past 5+ months haven’t been fun since I was one of those who really enjoyed their work, and it showed in the quality of the outcome.

Yes, I know four people. 3 part-time and 1 furloughed. All in corporate.
