Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Did you complete the diversity survey ?

I hope all that post here with legit complaints took the time to complete the diversity survey. My comments weren't on diversity at all. I just took the opportunity to lace into senior management. I'm not naive to think it makes a difference but it was sure therapeutic knowing my chain of command has to read it ! I recommend it.

Tolerance is for Cowards... Famous words from Randy while he had his nose up the tail pipe of the Obama Administration and wanted to pander to 13% of the population. Loud and Proud... Randy's dog whistle to the 6.8% of the population. He was never a CEO. He wasn't even Sales Rep material. Donkey Boy invested 80% of his energy over the last 6 years catering to the 20% on a Social mission while his ship ran onto the rocks. He also made certain that he was the first on to the life boat. Worthless shell of a human being. No true moral compass. And buying his own BS related to his intellectual prowess. But... He definitely got he last laugh. Retired Multi-Millionaire that hobnobs with the best of the Phonies in TX and Hollywood. Karma always demands its debt be paid.

Years ago Gary and his ra ra chearleader sent out surveys for improvement. I and about 5 others of I know of and probably many more that I'm not aware of made thousands of copies and filled the survey out in different handwriting with different pens. Weeks later at a skip level someone asked about the survey and boy oh boy - Gary went off like a 12 guage shotgun blasting the malcontinents that filled out hundreds more of surveys than sent out.
It wasn't hundreds, it was thousands more. So.
How do you think the climate that existed was?
Too funny. Too stupid.

I didn’t bother with it because it’s a total waste of time. All of this is just window dressing and AT&T isn’t really going to change anything they do.

The White Males in the c-suite have wrecked the company, but continue to enjoy the privilege of multi million payouts and guaranteed employment for family’s and friends!! White males have a monopoly on top positions, are unaccountable and choose successors that look like them, think like them and continue to perpetuate a closed system!!

None of the c suite White Males or their families or friends employed at AT&T have not felt any hardship in the recent “headcount rationalization”!!

Yes and commented that the company doesn’t reflect the countries racial makeup. There is a lower percentage of whites and higher percentage of minorities if they are going to play the identity game. The C suite is the outlier and is biased, it needs to be corrected over time with best person for the job reflecting a racial balance if possible. They need to quit the game of friends and family plan in the C suite, upper management and get back to hiring the best person for the job in all positions. That practice is coming home to roost and will be the death of this company and our country.

The company should use their charitable money on disadvantaged people of all races, areas like Big Cities, Rural and Appalachia. Give a hand up, not a hand out. The idea of everyone gets a trophy not based on hard work and merit is rotting our core democratic values.

The Chairman is a white male, the CEO is a white male, the CFO is a white male, the General Counsel is a white male, the lead director is a white male. They pick their successors, and guess what, they pick a white male. Outside of a few window dressing tokens, this is the permanent structure!!

Used to work there as a manager. Actually. At least I did took these comments to heart and tried to change to please my team. Sometimes it was tough to read but I did my best. And I’m sure other managers couldn’t care less. In the past. They did read them and consider them. Now? Under Stanley? All he wants to do is offshore and sell because Elliott management forced his hand
