Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

Engines site seeking to Re-Employ

Yep, so predictable. Engines site aggressively trying to pull back those rif’d a couple months ago. id–ts! Great MM move; panic RIFs to meet 2q-3q profit margin. Many asked to come back said “no”. All the focus is on government contracts; any mo–n knows that. Hence, MM created the panic D&S SBU a week ago.

I predict Honeywell Corp. will now outsource Engines assembly-test hourly employees to Celestica. They need a method to start/stop overhead every quarter.

I doubt Celestica will want anything to do with taking on contract manufacturing at other Honeywell sites. Celestica Tucson has been loosing money since transition. I bet they turn over the keys back to Honeywell soon. The model never made financial sense for Celestica, and they were strong armed into taking the site over, or loose out on a big CCA contract.

Be real careful here. If they ask you to reapply, and you do, then they offer you a salary at 1/2 of what you are making, and you reject it, you lose severance.

Re-employ as Honeywell employees again, or as contractor?

And yet, the guy is still around to wreak more havoc. I really don't get the thinking of our company "leaders"

Severance only ends if you apply for the job, a offer is made and you then reject the offer.

Severance ends when that job offer shows up. Just a move to cut costs by shortening the severence. They know few will accept

Be careful, don't think you are eligible for Obamacare if you are Cobra eligible. And Silver is not considered high deductible plan so no HSA. Hope you can get the cheap coverage but be careful not to burn your bridges until you're certain.
