Thread regarding Gulfstream Aerospace layoffs

All hands meeting

Anyone seen it? Have not had time. Assembling the plane and all. Don't know the job charge to watch it...

I didn't waste my time watching blow hands blowing smoke up my butt. I was told no EIP or MIP

We’ll have an idea on earning call... they won’t be able to BS around by saying “lots of airplanes delivered” like they did in Q2. If it’s still bleeding, October lay-off will happen.

Did GD take Cares Act $?
If so, headcount stays still until that deadline hits ...
There is no way furloughs will help sustain decreasing sales, covid related or not.

‘Right sizing coming soon?’

If you’re looking for a reason to roll your eyes repeatedly or a good laugh at utter ridiculousness then sure watch it. Otherwise I wouldn’t even waste your time. In short, you are owned by them, not employed by them. You aren’t ever going to get a straight answer. No your job is not now and never will be secure. Oh and don’t expect any bonuses. If you get it then it will be a happy surprise but your chances are slim.

It was an absolute joke. The questions that pertained to anything regarding pay raises, layoffs, etc. were responded with “uh” every other word. Yet when talking about people working hard, putting company first, kissing their behinds the stuttering magically disappeared. I have to say my favorite part was when the chick gets super excited on the diversity subject. You aren’t fooling anyone. Get outta here. Basically if you are at the top with a lot of power, no worries. Everyone underneath is going to get a bad deal at the end of the day. What a waste of time.

So what do you think the odds are for further layoffs? There has been a lot of speculation here, but nothing that seemed really informed. How did y'all interpret the AH presentation?

Yup, what I got out of it was: EIP is up in the air, probably no raises, and evaluating options for further layoffs

Let me tell you it was a real boost to the morale
