There hasn't been much chatter here lately on layoffs, should I take that as a good sign?

I heard a rumour of 15% across the board.
I think we cans start with L&D leadership
Agency leadership going to go thru a transition soon
Its about time for another round of cuts in the field. too many VPs giving direction with no real background in the job....good old boy is alive and well in the field. Most Leadership and Sales Leaders are former agents preaching how they did it, majority are P/C knowledge only and are clueless with Mutual Funds and Annuities. The true fear in agency and leadership is who can pass the required 65 exam and what are we going to do with policies sold today ( Jackson, Mutual Funds ) when agents fail to pass the exam. Oh, and what will we do for those new agents over the past 2 years not requiring them to be RR agents. Leadership will again kick the can down the road with no decision and stumble thru another failed attempt to lead in financial services. Best in class nothing? Sell it off to another entity that knows the business.
Well said! Micromanaged and toxic! Perfectly described!
The beatings will continue until morale improves. - Mgmt
Somewhere, SF lost sight of the real goal to be the best. They got worried about remaining the biggest, to the exclusion of everything else. Leadership got lost there and s—ed the life out of the company. For a few decades now, I’ve done everything I can to help State Farm and make a living. But when they decided they needed to be my reason for living....that was it. I will make a living until either they run me off, or I elect to retire.
I pray there is more cuts and the sooner the better to get out of this micro managed toxic place.
Wait, MT is not our daddy and MS is not our mommy?
They do NOT care about you nor your job. They will do what they want, when they want, and without justification. Remember dont believe what they say. Only believe what they do. Their track record is clear.
No one even in claims is safe PERIOD!
Claims should be safe since they are understaffed and multiple storms going on.
nobody is safe. and leadership should be worried. you’re even more useless when you work from home. it’s tough to kiss a$$holes when you’re working from home. stretch those lips.
That stinks
That stinks
In this environment, never take anything at face value.
Or is it just the calm before the storm?
