Believe it or not agreement employee's, there are Managers out there who are actually pretty cool and down to earth. Yeah your gonna have the die hards who buy into the pyramid ponzi schemes they hold at recruiting seminars, but those are the ones who dont last long. West Colton has the best Managers in the entire service unit. Im not sure there is one there either mechanical or transportation who isnt pretty cool. So maybe its just a California thing, but things seem pretty chill at the WCT.

I always thought that it was an open secret at UP that the only hard part of the job was showing up and being on-call. Beyond that nobody (management or agreement) did very much.

Managers are scumbags. Cool ones don’t exist quit lying to yourself. These people are not your friends, they’re not here to help, their only purpose is to screw you. Secondly, managers get recycled at a much higher rate than agreement people, if one is revealed to be human-like, Union Pacific will immediately replace it with a sub-human one.
Lol. West colton is the armpit of the inland empire and that's saying something. But since we're talking about managers, what about the former director, he was a straight a–hole. The only good managers out there are probably the ones that were supervisors from the LA basin.

We have in our service unit nothing but dumb–ses wish we had done good ones here they struggle to be in charge of 4 employees so go figure

I agree. Sounds like most places are miserable. But as an agreement employee who used to be a foreman, I can say the WCT is pretty b–chin.
