10% pay cuts pushed on Alaska contractors

COP just sent out a note to contract companies requesting a 10% pay cut for all contractors. Anyone hear of related news elsewhere or similar employee cuts?

Keep pay the same and cut the 40% of people who contribute nothing.

All Canadian contractors, with few exceptions took a 15% cut.

Probably just posturing to get contract companies to also threaten their staff in to voting no on Prop 1.

10% is not enough. The bureaucracy there is the worst in our company, and 40% would be a good place to start.

I heard Canada contractors had travel expenses cut. Not sure about hourly rates. No more pay for travel time or reimbursement for travel to or from the airport or parking and max $500 per round trip flight. Works out to somewhere between 5-15% cut for the fly in fly out depending on circumstances.

They should apply this cut to all US employee. Offer another VSP, and cut the middle man.
