Over 1,500 subrogation claims are being outsourced to a firm in India according to an announcement by the Subrogation Director. They are calling this a “test”. Let’s all guess what will happen next.

Don’t be too alarmed, Subro people. This is not just being done in your area. All departments that handle claims or support claims are going through these “tests” with outside vendors. It will come down to cost savings vs quality of work. If Allstate wants to compete with GEICO and Progressive, they may want to take a hard look at what that cost savings will really save over time.
This was announced in a conference call with all subro offices last week.

Didn't all the companies get billions of dollars in tax cuts with the expectation that they would invest much of it in American jobs? Guess it was just a smoke screen to line the deep pockets of Wall Street.

How are they going to negotiate subro when they can barely speak English and know nothing about cars?? I feel bad for reps at other carriers that are going to have to try to get paid from India, Allstate is probably hoping they’ll be so frustrated they’ll give up
I've seen some claims where subro outsourced. Claim owner must get involved. I had one where they gave me instructions to have insured sign a pd release. Had to get management involved to tell them insured doesnt sign release, we do.
