"Even cybersecurity companies spill data and passwords"

Dear ILEC customer,
Please just shut your mouth and pay your bill, TT will TELL YOU when it's fixed.
Many people are blaming IT security for the issues. The person to blame is the CISO. Since he took over, the team has had no training, no support, no raises, no promotions. He has nothing but disdain for the team that is his own making. His only concern is his own image/career. The choice of security tools is laughable. Management needs to do better.
When disgruntled employees start attacking customers, just priceless hahaha
TT loves disruptive business trends. He dreams of having no employees, no customers, no products......just a fountain of money for himself.
You can’t put toothpaste back into the tube.
Dear Customer - This is certainly nothing to lose sleep over, or spend all your time worrying if it's been fixed. Hey, if Equifax can lose your information, anyone can. There's nothing that can be done about it. Maybe you should worry more about Covid. Have a nice day.
” Windstream won’t ever admit a Ransomware attack.”
At some point they’re obligated to inform customers if the customer’s data has been stolen.
I think if the press or regulators found out, that would happen faster.
If you see something, say something. Even an anonymous tip to the press would help.
Thanks
Windstream won’t ever admit a Ransomware attack. More than likely they’ll claim a rodent had eaten through the cable the connected to the internal database.
@1swm+16In0oC2. your ignorance is showing. Customers do know what an ILEC is, and call it such
"lol, no customer says ILEC"
I've never worked for an ILEC but I've sold to them and provided tech support in the past. It's not just a Windstream term – it's telecomm-wide.
Now I'm work in networking at my current employer. We're in Windstream country. We're locked into Windstream at multiple locations although we're trying to change that where we can. I suspect we may be Windstream's biggest customer in this area.
Some places there's a cable TV company we can use. Other places, we can run our own fiber. Unfortunately, we're just stuck at some key facilities.
We've had multiple hours-long outages that idled much of our workforce.
I'm still trying to figure out if you got everything unlocked after this ransomware attack.
We're also trying to figure out what customer data was compromised.
Any useful answers here would be appreciated if you're willing to share them.
We wouldn't know if the issues have been resolved. Leadership doesn't engage with their employees in regards to network ransomware.
lol, no customer says ILEC
Yeah, no kidding. Must be advice from JN - it was the only thing he could come up with to deflect the blame. You'll excuse him while he runs out for another smoke, won't you? Oh I forgot, everyone is smoking from home now......LOL
yeah i saw that. from what i've seen/understand this was a vpn hack and had little or nothing to do with CSO passwords. just theater from IT Security.
its not fixed until we all change our CSO password. haaaaa
For the customer I'm sorry. For the person that called the customer a troll, typical. You can bet you will find out more here than Windstream will tell you. They will only blow smoke up everyone's a$$ to make them look good to share holders. There is a reason for years of layoffs and bankruptcy. It's just not for the fun of it
Yes, customers go to a layoff board to keep up with your employer. Nobody has told us of a data breach or anything.
So am I troll like you say? Opinions vary; clearly you think I am
Personally, I think of myself as one of the zillions of ILEC customers that are keeping your company afloat with monthly payments.
Struggling with outages. Worried about more outages. Looking for a straight answer somewhere.
i see it...customers go to a layoff board to keep up on the their phone company...lol...go away trolls
