DXC in India has hired approximately 5000 campus graduates this year and 50% of them are women. The company continues to invest in campus relationships and has plans to increase the number of graduate hires next year with the aim to ensure the right representation and talent pool required to serve customers.

And how many experienced people did they furlough and lay off? What BS!

Hire in the East and low cost centres - work them to the bone and fire in the west strategy, the short term outcome = save money for DXC, cut out costs and expensive overheads , long term outcome = poor and declining service, more loss of business to competitors

Hiring from third world countries to save money is always a mistake.

Instead of bashing staff in other countries, you may have a look at the top management. They receive massive bonuses for top performance, and brag about their success.
Fact is revenue decline, every year high extraordinary cost for rerstructuring, last year 20$/share loss, missing customer confidence in DXC ability to deliver, ... ... ... .
That has more to do with the quaility of the managment. So don't bash those who a hired as low cost staff.

I remember once at DXC on a cough cough offshored account from UK.. usual stuff ..they coukd not fix it so UK pick up though not supposed to.

Speaking to senior offshore unix.. I said think us this..if DC Ops confirm this light is red.. well 20 mins later he admitted never seen a server for real..just diagrams and this was a senior with a computer scuence degree and 10 years experience

I just feel as we lose jobs..they are not accountable or take ownership. Same as usual.

Also, they think employed as better educated than the west. NO..cheap FTE.

I would prefer jobs going to other countries in Asia than India

And we all know what happens when you pay peanuts. You get monkeys. Curious how this will work out for Americans, oh wait, DXC doesn't care!

When a company delivers results that makes customers happy, that is free PR and marketing towards other potential customers. That will naturally draw future employees to the company. Whenever I've read this type of virtue signaling online, it means the action taken is not as good as they make it sound.

Too bad they didn't phrase it as "qualified" or "competent" staff, regardless of gender!

They hired cheaper staff in India, after firing some of the more experience staff.

Often i get assigned such people to my project. I do not know if i should laugh or cry... Wasting so much time to ramp them up (at least those who have some clue and showing bit of initiative) and then in 6 months they are gone. Now i prefer to block day or two to do work myself whenever i can and do not waste nerves and time with them
