‘This rush can be deemed as cruelty to human beings. I’d like to see the big wigs run a store alone, with the outdated technology, instant gratification expecting students, sh–ty attitudes from a few unrealistic faculty, incompetent temp agency and the inability to check email or phone messages because I’m busy filling orders for large universities.

Lol, seriously! I thought it was just me. I haven't checked my email in two weeks. Spend all day running around helping students, putting put faculty fires (due to their own stupidity), and shipping and receiving OMS. I've never been so exausted!

50 total part time hours for September to spread between 4 part time employees.
The lesson is to ignore home office directives wherever possible and do what's best for your campus.
Almost every challenge this semester has come from home office directives. Thankful for the ones I ignored. Made rush not as bad as some have experienced.
Yeah it's been absolutely insane. No support from anyone at HO or even at RM level. Schools and students all expecting more more more and they expect it right now. So many p-ss-d off customers due to things taking weeks to arrive, since we're using SurePost when the USPS is being dismantled from within. Plus huge sales declines because we can't compete with Amazon in either price or speed.
Guessing silence from RMs on up means everyone is too busy polishing their resumes and applying for new jobs, and they don't have time to help stores.
