Belk really thinks the associates are stupid. They spout the same lame c-ap over and over. "My store is doing great". Get some new material. Most of the belk stores are falling apart. And looking forward to a future is pretty naive.

September is coming up and the stores should be setting the stage for holiday. How they tackle the season will be extremely telling of the company’s financial status with advertising, deals and merchandise that will/won’t be coming in. From what I remember last holiday sales were ok (but goal wasn’t met company wide-NOT speaking about individual stores)...let’s see how this year goes during a pandemic.

You won’t be in control of your life when Belk shuts the f— down and they pull the plug on your bloated salary at corporate.
But you don’t have to work here! If it’s not enough money then get a job wherever you can!
That’s all I’m saying. We live in America. You can do anything you want with your life. You have the luxury of not being happy with something and moving on to another.
If anyone is miserable enough to spend time discussing how awful an employer is on this forum than go see what else is out there for you.
I bet you still won’t be happy. You are in control of your life!
Successful with a “F” credit rating and not being able to hire any associates at $10 bucks an hour?. ok then, that must be Belk’s definition of success.

My store really is doing great! I am grateful for my job. We all should be. We are successful because from my store manager, to the STM’s to every single associate within my store we all work as a team. As a family. To make our store as successful as it is.
Stop breeding negativity within our company.
Every belk store is doing just terrific! don’t believe anything you read! belk sales and credit rating is strong! And if you believe that, I have some snake oil I want to sell you
