Terminations due to fraud recently

Overheard on a call that several managers and reps were terminated recently due to fraud. It supposedly happened in the Northeast. Any info on this?

Reps were caught transferring lines to prepaid to cancel lines and give customers new numbers so they would qualify for the promotion.

They got fired due to them not adding any money to the prepaid to keep it active. Although they probably would have been fired anyway for positioning that type of scheme, the fact the lines were not supplied with money after the conversion is really what did it.

No thanks, I’m not a piece of sh– who cheats people to make a dollar. Still the top rep in my location because I actually take customers.

Hey I say do what you gotta do to make that money while you can. If you have to slam stuff and a manager is ok with it then do it . It’s only a matter of time before they follow Verizon and take personal commission away and move to the team format. We will make a lot less money then so make it now !

They need to stop people slamming Next Up and Protection. Hell even the managers encourage it. It’s blatant fraud.

I don’t work in the retail side of things but apparently the terminations were due to setting up phony prepaid lines.....whatever that means. This went down in Connecticut BTW.

I seriously wouldn’t be surprised! The company just wants to look good to Wall Street with gross adds that they don’t care how reps obtain them. The big thing I see is reps adding additional lines to a customer's account, so they can take advantage of promo pricing and get the phone at a discounted price only to use on the upgradeable line. I also see reps just slamming next up and protech on accounts without customer's consent. I have brought this up to management so many times, and they don’t seem to care as long as their numbers look good, and they are getting a nice fat commission.
