Where were yesterday's layoffs? I was hit 8/27 so not sure why I even care. And by the way, people: becoming unemployed is indeed a drag. But becoming unemployed from Optum feels like freedom, like I can breathe. What a loathsome organization dripping with greed, self-congratulatory b.s., lack of direction, and hypocrisy. I will miss some of my colleagues. I will not miss the acronyms, the constant upheavals, the big-brotherliness, the endless new "tools" to "enhance efficiencies," or the boasts of record earnings in one breath, and layoffs in the next. Hope that others affected by the layoffs feel the same.
Oh good. More teams for Wright to run into the ground with his poor management. He should be fired.
There were additional layoffs today (August 31). Not sure about tomorrow.
Considering Norman Wright announced today that Marketing now falls under him and will be blended with Customer Office, I wouldn't be surprised if more layoffs are coming.
