Thread regarding Barnes & Noble layoffs

Rest In Pieces Barnes & Noble

Take the 3000 plus ( not the 1800 they lied about to new outlets) Now, take the 1000 ( probably more !) they recently fired.
Take all those, their parents, siblings, children, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and their friends . If they all stop patronizing the already financial strapped ( Daunt already crying poverty) stores- they will not survive after the holidays.
Spread the word ! This is their last lay-off/ furlough/ Firing !

Will continue to use Amazon and Books A Million. Will never spend a dime at Barnes and Nobel.
I’m not an ex employee. Just checked out the site. Read all the contemptible things this company does

As a bookseller, I use to spend $150-200 a month. I also bought gift cards there. I spent around $80 a month of food from the Kitchen. I encouraged my friend and book club members to shop there who spent $100’s. It all adds up. Their loss

“Amazon gift cards, no less.”
YES -Amazon..
Books are in stock. Less expensive!!!!
Better, faster shipping.
BN has had years over Amazon to perfect .com and didn’t bother to.
They censor Facebook. Any customer who posts a problem, it comes down and blocks the customer.
A bookstore that regularly practices CENSORSHIP.

My wife and I plan to continue our tradition of letting our Nieces & Nephews pick out their own books for Christmas ( and their birthdays).
Instead of BN gift cards. It will be Amazon ! Each of the 5 kids get $50 gift cards.
Not enough to break BN, but if we all spend our money elsewhere, we will !

This year we will ! They’ll end up with 2 employees manning the empty store everyday through the holidays.

I love seeing my former customers and telling them what happened an to spend their money else. We can all celebrate when they die.

Are you the one bad-mouthing B&N all over Facebook?

I’m in !
I’ve been in !
Left Barnes last year after working there for 3 weeks. Saw how horrible they treated the booksellers and no regard for their customers. I haven’t spent any money with them ,in stores or online, since. Neither has my family.
You think one person’s family doesn’t make a difference?! I used to spend about $300 in BN gift cards, my Sister used to spend $100 in cards for each of her 2 children.
Last year we all got Amazon gift cards. Also, for Birthdays too.
It makes a difference.
