Thread regarding Union Pacific Corp. layoffs

Uh oh! He's back up to 8%.

How is this possible? His approval rating was at 6% a few weeks ago. Then a week or two ago, it went to 7%. Now it's back up to 8%. He's got to be coercing people into giving false reviews. I can't understand or believe anything he's done recently was good. There's more furloughs on the way, more people are quitting daily, and all morale has been lost. According to the UNP earnings call transcripts, the COO has more yards in mind for possible closure. So how the he11 did his rating go up?

Like he cares. He has generation-changing wealth and more power than he ever dreamed he would during his MBA days at Northwestern

Indeed shows him to be at 41%, not 47%!

Wow! It's still such a mystery why the UP is ranked the number worst employer. Oh wait no it's not. It's sh1tty because they designed it that way.

@opu Worked for UP and moved on to greener pastures. I spend some of my time briefing boardrooms. Here’s a paraphrase of something that I heard an executive (not railroad) who’s name everyone on the thread would recognize say:

“UP solved the problem of workforce reductions by making the place so miserable that they either leave on their own or don’t bother applying to begin with.”

They went on for a little while after That, but you get the idea.

I agree. Let's start leaving some negative reviews. Let's give that CEO something to think about.

Are you a board member? If you are, then do yourself and this once great company and fire that clown. You have no idea how much that would help the company right now.

Let's get a bunch of people together, and leave some negative reviews. Let's see how low we can make it go! The only thing I see is that most of the reviews would be truthful.

People keep leaving false positive reviews on Glassdoor, inflating the numbers in favor of the CEO.

I can’t prove it, but the pro-UP review troops always seem to show up on Glassdoor whenever there is public discussion of how low the CEO approval ratings are. Coincidence? Maybe, but ratings that low are bad for the image of the company and the CEO. UP (and the CEO) are the butts of quite a few boardroom jokes in part because of this.
