So I got an offer last week that I’m thrilled about and will end up getting paid double for a couple of months (also pro tip: don’t let Exxon know or anyone at Exxon know if you get an offer cause they can stop paying you! Also don’t tell right management)
For those wondering my salary is the same as at Exxon and I get four weeks vacation and 9/80s as opposed to 2 weeks at EM. The idea that there is just nothing out there that pays like Exxon is a farce. They just want you to think they’re the only ones but it’s just not true. I say this so that people still looking have hope. Hang in there. It may be a blessing in disguise. Now I don’t have to spend the next year in a toxic, cut-throat stressful environment. And I at least know my new company wouldn’t give the CEO a 25% raise while laying people off.....
