Thread regarding Centene Corp. layoffs

Centene: M.W.A.

Centene management, before you call a meeting to discuss how unprofessional these posts are...DON'T. You don't get to tell us how to feel. You don't get to tell us how how to react. You forfeit that when you treat us like garbage! So I'm going to use my extensive Marketing skills, for which you don't value, to communicate how Centene treats its employees through every channel that is afforded to me. The employees that turned Centene into a billion dollar company. So no need to even address this. When you replace your experienced Marketing team with a cover band then you essentially don't value what we do. A billion dollar healthcare company gets rid of their Marketing team for an agency with NO HEALTHCARE EXPERIENCE. That's akin to choosing Skeet Ulrich in a major motion picture over Johnny Depp . Skeet Ulrich is a fine actor but he's no Johnny Depp. There's a reason why Johnny gets paid what he gets paid. You're getting Destiny's Child without Beyonce. N'Sync without Justin Timberlake. The Beatles without John and Paul. The Miracles without Smokey. The Commodores without Lionel Richie. The Supremes without Diana Ross. To put it in terms that you might understand due to your advanced age, you are getting The Marx Brothers without Chico, Harpo, and Groucho. Essentially you are getting Gummo and Zeppo.

So excuse me for being just a tad bit annoyed by this dumb@ss decision to replace my department with a poor man's version of us. We're not happy by this. We are Marketers With Attitudes right now and you're just going to have to deal with it.

Thanks for expressing what many feel!
The managers don’t care. I’m just glad I don’t have to fill out the joke employee engagement surveys any more! Same sh–, every year and nothing changes.

Make the money, at the expense of your family. Buy another company and lay-off who got you there. Same MO.

Mr. Neidorff has gained some unflattering attention in other places for his high level of base compensation. Investment funds that buy large share groups do take notice of CEO comp.

How many of us here own Centene shares? You get a proxy from the annual meeting every year if you do. While we were working for the company, it was not a good thing to vote against, but once separated, we can vote however we want.

$26,000,000? Good to know. I'm sure the world would like to know how a $26,000,000 man treats his staff. A $26,000,000 man who is transforming the health of the community, one person at a time. A $26,000,000 man entrusted with the health care of millions of people. I'm sure those people would love to know how a $26,000,000 man disposes himself of valuable staff who helped get him that $26,000,000. If he could do that to his staff what in the world will he do to them.

St Louis Post just wrote story about highest paid CEO’s. Of course, MFN is number 1 at $26 MILLION!

The Marx Brothers analogy was really spot on. Per my comments on related threads, AEP and end of year is probably the worst time to pull a stunt like this. It's a maximum effort and I doubt anyone will be putting ME in with a 60 to 90 day clock running, even the compulsives.

I wonder what else is driving this decision. Does anyone know if Optum/UHC or CVS Aetna work this way?

All of which makes me glad that as a WellCare legacy, I wasn't invited to transition.
