Thread regarding Windstream Corp. layoffs

Barnum & Bailey Circus.

Fixed Wireless, didn't work, GPON didn't work, Allworks, didn't work, Consolidated software, didn't work. Is there anything that works here in the Circus? Seems to be alot of hype from the LR5 to keep everyone working so they can get their millions during a Bankruptcy and a pandemic.

GPON is still a huge market, Windstream as a company is just trash and nobody wants to buy your junk.

They dont own anything, Windstream is just a shell company at this point. They sold their assets and lease them back at insane rates, needed that LR5 bonus money up front and now its Elliots problem on the back end. The CLECs they purchased still lease T3s from Verizon, Century Link, Zayo at insane rates. They lose money on 90% of the customers they have, how long do you think that lasts. I still see the Windstream guys in the collos troubleshooting DSL and POTs lines. You still have paradyne DSLAMs and nortel UE9Ks, windstream cannot be around much longer.

You see these 5G buildouts 10ft away from Windstream guys trying to turnup M13 multiplexors. You stay at windstream and your skills get stale, carriers dont want to hire people that have been working on T1s the last decade.

Most of their customers are sc-aping by that’s why they chose Windstream. Lowest cost.

My point is it does work in some areas and in other areas it was again a broken promise to customers and employees. Windstream is really sc-aping the bottom of the barrel to survive.

Please explain how gpon didn’t work? It seems to work pretty well in our area.
