Better late than never - that slob pretender Murthy finally got shown the door - regrettably not before the huge damage he inflicted on everywhere he went, everything he touched. That incompetent parasite ninkampoop Murthy is just a loud voice with zero skills – organizational, or execution – and of course, below zero technical skills (the foremost reason why so-called engineering degree holders rush to get an MBA hoping to hide their engineering incompetence). The old adage of ‘Empty vessels make the loudest noise’ fits perfectly to parasites like slob Murthy.
His hiring by likes of Qualcomm and then Intel goes on to show the nonsense of executive hiring prevalent in corporate culture worldwide. Most of these so called ‘leaders’ have no skills, no real accomplishment. They buy some MBA degrees, and start throwing big words in loud voices. Sooner or later someone just as incompetent and clueless as them in an existing corp start promoting them. These parasites just live off taking credit off hard-working employees.

The ACT layoffs of 2015/2016 have caused irreparable damage. They literally got rid of the very people they needed to deliver 7nm. They tried to hire them back a few months later to little or no success - rightfully so.
He definitely should be fired!
There are certain things that should have happened way earlier. Looooong overdue. Time to buy INTC again. BK and Murthy will be the subject of business school for a long time.
I think Murthy tried to make manufacturing more accountable to product design. If 7nm pulls through as an effective vehicle for products, I think some of it will have been the result of that leadership. Unfortunately it seems to me the middle managers in product and manufacturing were so incapable of working together that accountability amounted to people barking half thought out garbage at each other, which is not engineering. Personally I would have kept him and fired middle management but what do I know.

Yes.. it’s because of his entry , he led to all the layoffs.. and he never knew how to lead a company with rich innovative culture after coming from fabless company...
Now since the company is all disintegrated there is nothing left...
I think it would have been better if he was not at all hired and all the other people who are in leadership positions from outside were also not hired would have been good.
Using a “results orientation” approach to evaluating him, he shouldn’t have lasted this long.
