Big companies are still cutting.

Here is the good news. Congress is trying to come up with a bill that would pay you 70% of your salary for up to one year. They are trying to figure out how to calculate each person's salary since there would not be a cap. The bad news is that we will have to payoff this huge debt someday way down the line. So getting 70% of your salary for a year might cause the company to lay more people off with minimum severance on the LOXY side. LAPC in my view is stuck until the very end unless they walk away from the possible COC. Maybe it is not that bad to be LOXY and get a year's salary at 70%, after all we just got through living on 70%.
Oxy won’t lay-off any APC. COC is too expensive.
Why was there no WARN notice for such a large layoff in January?
APC legacy here. Looking forward to the next lay-off! COC baby!
Were you sleeping in January or hired after? At least 900 were laid off in January.
There really weren’t any massive layoffs this year that you would call a round.
January
No more layoff for this year? Nice.....just wait for a surprise next year.
As soon as the asset divestitures start. That is the responsible timing from a business point of view. Corporations are not in the business simply to employ people.
