This isn't even a Hometown store. It's one of those failed fly by night concepts that never took off.
Another few chairs rearranged on the deck? What else does this accomplish?
Stores were given some light today. As of Aug 2, the PR Sears and the few small format Sears in the US will be removed from the store count and be part of the Hometown group.
Transformation is about done.
most of the hometown stores are owned by families who buy from Sears. They close every day A few years ago there was 2500 in the US and Canada. Almost all lose money and the owners just close up shop
Fast Eddie hasn’t completely drained the company of all assets yet. Hometown (if it survives) will not be sold-off until THC sells SHIPS (Sears Home Services) and sell/licenses the Kenmore brand. And then, in the words of Bane “Now you have my permission to die.”
There are 310 Hometown Stores.....
Another piece for ESL to slice off.... no way these stores can be profitable with 310 locations.
My guess is the business unit will be sold to AF.
Yep, no one in the department knows which stores even exist anymore.
Interesting observation!
This is an example of why it's hard to count Hometown stores.
If you go to the Sears.com store locator, the store is listed but leads to a 404 Page Not Found error when you click on the link.
If you go to the SearsHometownStores.com store locator, this store is not listed at all.
