This CEO is a lying sack of sh–. They are forcing people out who have 20 years with the company who are disabled, but not retirement eligible. These employees will lose their medical insurance ASAP, will not be able to draw their pension for years, and likely will not be employable because disabled. They are breaking the law and they figure they can get away with it because the economy is tanking. It was in the plans since April and the CEO says in May no layoffs. F—ing liar. And yet his compensation and other executive compensation did not decrease. I feel sorry for the loyal, hard working employees who are getting tagged for the botton 8% without any clue in advance.
Denison survey was a joke.. we all know we will have to say the right things to protect our wage. Anyway, continue saying pleasing things.. you don’t own the business.. we will be alright..
What if all the PIP-er met the objective If the PIP. That will be interesting. What I would recommend is, work smart, document each task and what you have done. Remember they have the lawyer and HR to ensure that they are covered. To have a case, you need to prepare too. All the best.
I can say I worked for this company and got canned. Lame excuses as for reason of letting u go. Not worth your time to work for this toxic company. Sh–ty salary for employees who haven’t been there for 10 + years yet they make it impossible for u to move up. Hard worker but put in too much time for nothing.
@rwk If you know so much show us an example. I have not seen mine yet and my supervisor says she’ll start it after I make my decision.
There are pip plans. Get over yourself
Whoever says every company does ranking system probably never work with other companies other than exxonmobil . What a joke
What a joke! I’d love to see how the company scores on motivation based on the recent Denison survey on EM’s culture. It was already incredibly low before sh*t hit the fan. I can only imagine now. We’ve got to be one of the worst in the industry. Get out while you can! It’s only getting worse with additional workforce studies underway...
Every company that does forced ranking does this every downturn. Meet expectations when the good times roll don't cut it when the rubber meets the road. This ain't been news for forty years young'un.
🤣😂 Buhaha
“we maintain a healthy talent pool that is motivated to continuously improve “
The fallacy of the meritocracy, and ranking as motivation tool.
“Employees who need significant improvement (NSI) are given a plan and opportunities to improve their performance."
False - there are no plans. None I’ve talked to has seen a plan. Not even an outline, metrics, decision makers.
It’s unfortunate when statements go unchallenged. Poor journalism.
