I just heard Belk is changing their hours to 11-7 instead of 11-6. This makes no sense. We have drastic employee hour cuts, and the store is getting slower due to the Covid 19 upticks. I don't understand this company. No wonder they are so close to default. They expect more and more with less and less, and it's getting worse. They will have to default soon, maybe third quarter.

The first shift will be 9:30-5:30 and the 2nd will be 11:30-7:30 atleast that’s how it is at my atore
At our store they are having to run people out at 6. Customers are getting out of work and don't have enough time to shop. I can see why they are doing it. They are probably desperate for revenue. But it's going to be extremely difficult due to hour cuts on an already limited staff. And I don't see the logic of waiting until now to do it, when Covid cases are severely spiking across the southeast.
My store was one of the test stores to open for the month of July 11-7, and it dies down at 6:00 and with little coverage due to hours being cut. They need to open 10 -6 pm instead of 11-7 We have customers pulling on the doors at 10 every morning and getting upset that we’re not open. Wonder what the hours will be for the holidays?
11-7? That would be impossible with 17 people working in the store
Don't see how it's possible. They're is not enough associates in our store to permit this. I guess everyone will just have to work harder.
They may be staggering and doing 11-6 or 12-7, with opening and closing hours being lightly staffed. Or just work in associates shorter shifts.
I read that they were going to have 2 shifts . How is that possible unless they are calling back furloughs.
