Thread regarding DXC Technology layoffs

Berne Switzerland Banking Centre Bloodshed

In Switzerland we operate a banking center for some regional banks. Out of 360 people 100 must go within the next 12 months. There is no place to hide anymore, even when serving paying customers.

of course there won't be a "press release", what on earth were you expecting? If you were based in Switzerland you'll have seen the slide deck. If not, you won't.

No job cuts are talked about officially outside of the area in which they fall.

That's what this website is for..

There is no real future for DXC employees anywhere.

As for IBIS, what do you expect for this solution which has 1+ customer(s)? Anyone investing good money into something like this would be a fool, don't you agree?

What about IBIS4D ?
It seems the biggest banking project by DXC in switzerland is at risk too. many leaders and key players have already left DXC. No real substitutions.

There is no real future for DXC employees in Switzerland.

The unit is making money. The new management haven't looked into anything other than the cost of payroll. They know that if they can reduce the workforce and keep the revenue going for a while, even though the level of service gets impacted, then they can temporarily show bigger profit margins, and if this increases share prices even for a temporary period then that is where they make the big bucks. They can sell those shares and trouser a huge amount of money.

Sally and his cohorts couldn't give a monkeys for the client or those serving them. All they care for is how much cash they can extract from this company, Nothing else.

You can expect that 500 million sale of health care software to be appropriated into a small number of peoples' pockets.

Guess the simple question is was the unit making money ? Is it strategic for DXC ? sure the new management has looked into this before making the decision.

Do you mean D–k turpin or Steve Turpin head of EMEA?

Eighty percent offshore is the target. NCE nothing like at eighty percent, hence the arrival of D–k Turpin, the famous English bandit.

Doesn't matter if your work can't be offshored, just reduce the onshore people until the ratio is correct.

You can tell why these guys are paid the big bucks to make amazing decisions like that.

Just the same B.S. in the Uk- they had the b1on1cs Dwarf selling BS that was just scripts harvested off the 'net and tailored by hand to each account and application. Also, the 'secure accounts' teams full of BS and the clients have finally seen through it. Like the UK, Switzerland is a high cost location and will go the same way. They will offshore the work despite the Clients' wishes and contractual stipulations.
